Two years ago, we began developing a systematic map to synthesize demographic research on migratory birds. Thanks to the remarkable efforts of our international team, we have now successfully completed the screening of 47,959 relevant scientific publications.
This achievement reflects the dedication of 126 active contributors from across the network and represents a major step towards creating one of the most comprehensive evidence bases on migratory bird demography.
Data extraction phase will begin in September, and we are still looking for contributors. If you would like to join this collaborative effort, please contact the project coordinator, Vojtěch Brlík, at vojtech.brlik@gmail.com. When getting in touch, please briefly introduce yourself, describe your motivation for joining the project, and indicate your current career stage.
During the meeting, you can look forward to:
Training in the data extraction process.
A presentation of the detailed results from the screening stage.
Speed talks by participants introducing their research.
Plenary talks by Prof. Ryan Norris from the University of Guelph, Dr Sissel Sjöberg from Lund University, and Dr Alfredo Sánchez-Tójar from the University of Coimbra.
A guided sightseeing tour of Prague (with an experienced guide), networking opportunities, and Czech beer.
