Birds of a Feather: Collaborative Breakthroughs at the EUFLYNET Jastarnia Event (part 2)

Deep Dive into Working Group 1:

Laying the Foundations for Change

As we continue our series on the outcomes of the EUFLYNET meeting in Jastarnia, we shift our focus to the proactive efforts of Working Group 1. This group has been instrumental in establishing the groundwork for our overarching mission. Their commitment is not only to conservation but also to the integration of diverse disciplinary perspectives, including social sciences, education, and economics.

Here’s a closer look at the key initiatives that Working Group 1 has undertaken to fortify the foundation of our collective mission.

In Working Group 1, we worked on the first set of key elements to build a foundation for our mission: to involve relevant stakeholders social sciences, education and economics:

  1. Understanding the capacity that is available within the working group and team building amongst the members.

  2. Identifying and ranking threats to migratory landbirds and prioritising the threats that are in the scope of our mission.

  3. Identification of groups of stakeholders that play a role in influencing the threats.

  4. Drafting strategies and pathways for a theory of change.

Join us in shaping the future of migratory landbird conservation by contributing your expertise and passion to the efforts of Working Group 1.
